Welcome to the Bradford Writers' Circle News Letter
Dear Friends and Fellow Writers
In the 60 years history of the Bradford Writer' Circle, we have never been a group that shied away from new technology. How many of our members now have word processors, or their own PC computers and can read this new 'Blog' site?
This site means every time there's news to share it can be posted here and you get to read it first. There will still be a monthly hard copy of the news letter as always, so no worries there then.
Enjoy the site and feel free to add your comments.
God bless
Tina Watkin

This is the first time that I have come across the Bradford Writers Circle, and it appears very interesting. Mike

Got a bit bogged down with technology I'm afraid Mike! I was encouraged to start up the blog, by Joe Ogden, and then I forgot how and why I had it.
Only today on looking through again, I realised there was a post from you.....just shows how technologically ignorant I am.
However, I always do reply to those who contact me by email, telephone or snail mail, so here goes...this is a first for me at replying to a blog. Thanks for looking in on us. Our Bradford Writers' Circle has been going for over 60 years, rather like some of the members. We hold meeting twice monthly, these can be viewed on the website http://www.bradfordwriterscircle.

We actually have a meeting tonight March 19th at which Bruce Barnes the poet will be giving a short talk and reading some poems. You are welcome to join us if you are in our area. If not, try out our competitions which are open to non members. Regards Tina Watkin.

Oh aren't I just daft?
I didn't realise that I could read about you. I just hit the name by mistake. Of course, I now know that you are nowhere near our district, but that does not exclude you from entering any competition we have, except the Presidents Cup, which is for members only. We did have an entry once from a John Rodgers of Ireland once but there was no address for us to send the entry back; it was called Computer Virus. We have also had entries from Guernsey and have contact with a writer in New Zealand.
I skim-read through your story and what a tale you have there. I shall read it more closely later, but wanted to say that it is wonderful that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I'm glad you found it. Regards and God Bless from Tina Watkin (Leader of the Bradford Writers' Circle)
